“Where there is no vision, the people perish ...” (Pr.29:18) (KJV), Look around us. Notice the tall buildings, machines, streets, schools, hospitals, bridges, airplanes, ships. Look at our own homes: In the kitchen, sitting room, and bedroom. Everything we see that is man-made was first an idea, a dream, or a vision in someone's mind. All things start as ideas, dreams, or visions. Then, when that idea is implemented, it becomes a reality. Yes, all man-made creation starts as a thought in the mind. All great accomplishers have been people motivated by their dreams.
In managing the vision there is a belief that all
realistic dreams, aspirations and visions can be achieved if well planned, managed and cultivated
by men who are open-minded, filled with faith in God and willing to pay the
price it takes.
The
birth of a vision is the starting point of success. A man without a vision
lives an aimless life.
Vision
overcomes fear and hopelessness. It stimulates us to action and moves us from
complacency to higher spiritual levels. James 2:14-17
“What
does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have
works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of
daily food, and one of you says to them, "Depart in peace, be warmed and
filled," but you do not give them the things which are needed for the
body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have
works, is dead.”(NKJV)
Following are motivational scriptures
for the man who is a visionary
Are we a diligent
person? Are we building and nurturing our dreams? In times of difficulty do we hang on to our
dreams? Do we keep on dreaming and giving life to our dreams?
Are we skillful in our business7 Then the Lord
will increase our stature. We will find favor with God and man. Remember the implementation of
one idea is worth more than ten good ideas that are just lying dormant in our minds.
Proverbs 22:29: Do you see a man who
excels in his work? He will stand before kings; He will not stand before
unknown men.(NKJV). Arise
and let us put our vision to action. Walk through our vision and visualize God's bringing it
to pass.
Genesis 13:17: “Arise, walk in the land
through its length and its width, for I give it to you."(NKJV). Can we visualize that? Then
possess the land with God's might. Go forth and tread upon the land - our dreams, vision, and desire.
Joshua 1:3: “Every place that the
sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses”.(NKJV). We must shake ourselves from
all those negative thoughts and ideas. We need to loose ourselves from the
chains that have bound our mentality.
Isaiah 52:2 : Shake yourself from the dust, arise; Sit down, O Jerusalem! Loose
yourself from the bonds of your neck, O captive daughter of Zion!(NKJV). Believe in the law of growth,
increase, and multiplication.
Psalm 115:14: May the LORD give you increase more and
more, You and your children.(NKJV) Confess this truth. Visualize God's blessings and strength increasing in every area of our lives.
Job 8:7 : Though your beginning was small, Yet
your latter end would increase abundantly.(NKJV). What obstacles, mountains or competitors are
against us and the vision that
the Lord has given us? If we are faithful and trusting, the Lord will enlarge
our borders. He will bless our work, our
business and our vision if we will make a habit of appearing before Him.
Exodus 34:24:For I will cast out the nations before you and enlarge your borders;
neither will any man covet your land when you go up to appear before the LORD
your God three times in the year.(NKJV). We are to enlarge our vision, our goals, our dreams, and our
territories. Stretch our curtains, our skills, our knowledge, and our
influence. We are not to
limit ourselves. We will spread abroad and the Lord shall bless our doings, if
we are committed to His will for us.
Men who are visionaries dream big
Isaiah 54:2-3: "Enlarge the place
of your tent, And let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; Do not
spare; Lengthen your cords, And strengthen your stakes. For you shall expand to
the right and to the left, And your descendants will inherit the nations, And
make the desolate cities inhabited.(NKJV). It is a God-given vision that keeps us motivated
and willing to press on. Let us catch that vision.
Proverbs 29:18: Where there is no
revelation, the people cast off restraint; But happy is he who keeps the law.(NKJV)
It is a must to pray
for God's guidance
It is not enough to have a big vision. We must desire to
be in God's perfect will for us. Let Him guide our desires, our goals, and our drives.
1. Let His eyes
guide the way. Do not be as stubborn and difficult as some kind of animal. We are God's children. Let
Him be in partnership with us. He will do the leading and we will do the
work ... with His power. Psalm 32:8-9 : “I will instruct you and
teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye. Do not be
like the horse or like the mule, Which have no understanding, Which must be
harnessed with bit and bridle, Else they will not come near you”.(NKJV).
2. We are to give God our hearts and our desires, ambitions and
wishes, and He will teach us His perfect will and how to bring our
vision to birth. Proverbs 23:26: “My son, give me your heart, And let your
eyes observe my ways”.(NKJV)
3. The Lord wants to bring us into a new way of life that we have
never known. He wants to give us a new visions, new
desires, new friends and to open new doors for us. He will make darkness change into light
and crooked things straight; But we
have to be willing to see things from His point of view. Isaiah
42:16: “I will bring the blind by a way they did
not know; I will lead them in paths they have not known. I will make darkness light before
them, And crooked places straight. These things I will do for them, And not
forsake them”.(NKJV)
4. Is He our teacher? Are we teachable? Psalm 27:11: “Teach me Your way, O LORD, And lead me in a
smooth path, because of my enemies”.(NKJV).
5. Let
Him shepherd us all the days of our lives.Psalm 23:1; GOD, my shepherd! I don't need a thing. (MSG)
