Men are Very Important in God's Plan

I am so saddened as I write this article as a result of the many deaths, nearly 65 lives lost, because of the use of illicit brew believed to be laced with industrial alcohol in my country Kenya. This has been a difficult moment in our country. Not only have we lost lives, but we have many of our young men who have become blind and at the same time we have hundreds in hospital that are struggling for their lives. All the above is a result of use of the brew.

What is wrong? Where is the man God intended to have dominion and rule? I believe that men have run away from God and hence all the evils taking place in our country. We need to understand God’s purpose for our lives and then go back to that purpose. Soon, if we are not careful, men will only be there for procreation only and the women will take over. Was that God’s purpose? NO! NO! NO!

God has clearly laid out His purpose and role for us men. He provides wisdom: James 1:5

“If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him” .(NIV) ;encouragement, and strength: Philippians 4:13

“I can do everything through him who gives me strength”.(NIV) for those men who are ready to answer His call.

Answering His call is not solely the act of ministering the word or serving in the church. Perhaps it would do well to remind all men that answering His call includes caring for the family He has blessed us with, completing secular work with a cheer full heart and as we are doing it for God Himself. Colossians 3:17

“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him:.(NIV), and living a Christian life reflecting the Light of Christ to all those we come in contact with.

Simply we have to take care of our families well and not run away from our responsibilities. We must work hard and take charge.

Throughout Scripture we see the importance God has placed on the role we play within His plan. It was Adam who He intended to care for the garden; it was Noah who God chose to build the Ark. It was through the men born of Abraham in which God’s covenant was carried. The leaders of the twelve tribes of Israel were men. It was a man, Joseph, God used to carry not only His people but also the Egyptians through the seven years of famine. Moses led God’s people out of bondage. Most prophets were male, as were most judges. When the Israelites asked for a king, it was men that fulfilled the line of ruling “power”. Christ’s twelve apostles were even men. The list could continue on.

Although it is clear that as men, we are blessed with a history of service and leadership for the Lord. This does not discount the role women play; I am however focusing on your role, Men’s Biblical Role. And just as God’s plan once focused on utilizing the Jews to complete His work, and had to bring “plan B” into action, the same goes for His plan for men. If we do not live up to His calling as ambassadors: 2 Corinthians 5:20

“We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God”. (NIV), do not doubt that He will make His calling to the women to fill the role in which He designed for us to perform.

We must prayerfully consider not only what the Lord has intended for us men as a whole, but what He has set in the path of each of us. What is His calling for your life and work? Perhaps He is closing one door and opening another this very moment. We pray that you will take charge of your journey of fully realizing what “role” God is empowering you fulfill. If you are unsure of what His calling for you may be, we encourage you to find another man to enter into prayer with, asking our Heavenly Father for guidance.

YOU MUST ACT BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE.

THE WOMEN AND CHILDREN NEED US TO PLAY OUR IMPORTANT ROLES. THE SOCIETY AS A WHOLE IS CRYING OUT BECAUSE WE AS MEN HAVE FAILED. THE ONUS IS ON US TO WAKE UP FROM OUR SLUMBER AND DO ALL THAT GOD INTENDED US TO DO. DON’T GIVE THE ENEMY A CHANCE. YOU CAN HAVE CONTROL OF YOUR DESTINY.
