Men Must Have Dreams and Live Beyond Fear

Matthew 6:27

“Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?” (NIV)

Worries are fears. Fear can kill all the dreams that you may have. Most people live their lives in fear. There is a lot of uncertainty in life. The men are most affected as they are supposed to take leadership roles in the family and society. There are very many reasons for fear. Someone has said that FEAR is an acronym for: False Evidence Appearing Real. When you have a dream, you must live beyond fear. Otherwise, fear will make you not achieve your dream. I have witnessed many men running away from their families when their dreams are not achieved and if the responsibilities they are to undertake are beyond their imaginations.

Fear can cause shattered dreams which often lead to a world-impacting destiny. But getting there is often a process where we must work through honest feelings before we can see the God who redeems even the most devastating shattered dream.

If you ever asked any man who has realized a dream, he will tell you that whilst pursuing his dream, he will have felt some form of fear. However he will also tell you that had he not moved beyond the fear, he would have never seen his dream come true. In realizing any dream we must realize that fear comes to us in imaginings in the mind; fed to us from various different ways, which we have encountered during our time here in this physical world. In every moment we choose the thoughts that will be given life by us. Although we may not control the thoughts that come to us, we have a choice as to whether or not we mediate on them till they become real, or whether we ignore them and allow them to fall to the wayside. The choice is always ours.

Our dreams are the imaginings that come to us from God and when we choose to mediate on them we allow them to flow into our existence. All that we desire is beyond the screen of fear and it is ours, if we have the courage to look beyond that screen. If you intend to live your dreams you will need to look beyond those fears and see them for what they are; thoughts that you have given life form, to inhibit you from the power that lays within the real you.

I believe that carrying big dreams in our hearts and then bringing them to life is an essential part of living fully. Just because someone’s dreams didn’t go as one had hoped definitely doesn’t mean that all dreams will fail. This is the power that we all have and those who are determined to live their dreams learn to master the actions that and will lead them to it.

No matter what it looks like you have the power to choose what comes to you. You will always determine your journey in every moment that you choose; whether that choice is one of fear or one of the courage that is necessary to lead you to your dreams. If you find yourself living something that you’ve always feared, realize that not only did you bring those fearful thoughts to life, but you took the actions that led you to those fears. Just as a person who lives their dreams isn’t just sitting around dreaming; if you search you will noticed that they have taken the actions that led them to those dreams.

It is important to know that whether or not you are consciously aware of it, you are making choices to live more fears or dreams; that means your lack of awareness doesn’t exempt you from living these fears. We ought to learn how to master what it is we intend to do by establishing the mind-set that yields it to us.

Someone said:

“Empower yourself by empowering your thoughts.
Empower your thoughts by creating the environment conducive to it.
Empower your environment by taking the action steps necessary to sustain it.
Empower your action steps by recognizing the power of every moment.
Empower your moments, by making decisions in that moment that line up with your purpose and dreams.”

I’m a proud dreamer who takes risks and lives my life in this space of passion and innovation. I don't care how big, how extreme or how nonsensical it may seem. I feel like most people have some particular thing (or things) that they would like to do or accomplish in their life. Don’t let fear kill your dreams. Pursue it with passion. The Bible below gives an answer to overcoming fear.

1 Samuel 30:1-18

“David and his men reached Ziklag on the third day. Now the Amalekites had raided the Negev and Ziklag. They had attacked Ziklag and burned it, and had taken captive the women and all who were in it, both young and old. ……………………………… But David found strength in the LORD his God. Then David said to Abiathar the priest, the son of Ahimelech, "Bring me the ephod." Abiathar brought it to him, and David inquired of the LORD, "Shall I pursue this raiding party? Will I overtake them?" "Pursue them," he answered. "You will certainly overtake them and succeed in the rescue." …………...David recovered everything the Amalekites had taken, including his two wives.” (NIV)

Keep in mind that dreams live beyond the screen of fear.
